Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Policy

The Lloyd Cowan Bursary (LCB) is committed to creating a diverse, inclusive, and equitable environment where everyone connected to LCB is treated with respect and dignity.

For this statement, diversity refers to race, gender, disability, socio-economic status, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, age, marriage and civil partnership.

Inclusion is valuing, respecting, and encouraging everyone connected to the organisation. Equity is a process that ensures all people have the opportunity to contribute, develop, and grow despite historical, structural, racial, and socio-economic inequities.

Lloyd Cowan Bursary is an organisation that celebrates the rich diversity of the athletics community. We will not tolerate discrimination, biases, harassment, or bullying of any kind, regardless of race, socio-economic status, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, nationality, gender, or marital status.

As a charity and Trustees, we agree to be guided by these principles and pledge to reflect them in our vision, mission, strategic planning, programming, governance, and board composition. Our commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion extends to our bursary recipients, partners and programmes we develop and support.
